God, with impenetrable protection
always shield me with your power!

Make every inch of my body immune,
by covering me with a secure shield
in a way that no horrible devils may
throw against my flanks,
their projectiles, as they are used to;
So shield, God, with firm armour
together with the scapulas, shoulders,
and arms,
shield my forearms, elbows, and hands,
ankles, thenar, fingers and nails!
I wish that thrones, powers and
archangel,
leaderships, lordships, and angels,
will shield me with strong troops
so I can strike down my enemies
Shield my spine, ribs, and all joints,
back, hunchback, tendons and bones,
shield my skin, blood, and the kidney
area,
hips, behind and legs!

Head, eyes, forehead, teeth,
neck, abdomen, mouth, chin,
spine, ribs, legs, feet,
ankles, abdomen, veins,

so I escape the abyss, when I leave
the flesh,
and fly up to the heights
delightedly carried by God's mercy
to the empyreal freshness of his
kingdom!
